All our national parks are great places to take a look at, and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is no exception. There's so much to do here at Blue Joe Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hiawatha Resort and Campground is a great place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Big       Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Dinner Lake. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs generally are in the 70's at Blue Joe Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Blue Joe Lake through the wintertime usually dip into the 0's. From a rainfall point of view Blue Joe Lake is                  a rather normal site; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Blue Joe Lake is right by the Haywire Grade ORV Trail, and after a long day outdoors AmericInn Munising is a delightful place to spend a night or two.
