Go to Blanch Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. This place, Blanch Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors exciting stuff. High temperatures at Blanch Lake through the summer are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Blanch Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Blanch Lake is a good site of normal precipitation; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail in the neighborhood of Blanch Lake called the Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail; if you're here, you could also stop at scenic Skipperville Lake.

...ighly recommended as we offer the lowest rates on the Muskegon River in the Newaygo Area for your river adventures.
Rustic Camping also available on a limited basis. As of April 15, 2009 we have two seasonal electric sites available for rent this season. Rate is $700. 00 for the year. Our camping rates nightly are $12. 00 for non-power sites and $15. 00 for electrical sites. No running water/hand pump. No dump station. Outhouses and porta- potties in the busy summer season.
Excellent smallmouth & largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye fishing on the backwaters to Croton Dam and also north about 5 miles on the backwaters of Hardy Dam. Spring steelhead runs, rainbow & german brown trout, and fall salmon runs down on the river itself below the dam.
We do not offer river services for the Little Muskegon River.
We do offer a car spotting service to take your vehicles down river while you boat, canoe, or kayak the river. We also provide transportation services for individuals and their own equipment for a reasonable fee.
