In the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Dead River, and City Of Marquette is a fine local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Carp River is a splendid whitewater spot close to Bishop Pond, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Bishop Pond; Holyoke Trail is a       pleasant local trail. Gitche Gumee Campground and RV is a nice campground nearby, and while you're here you can play some golf at Marquette Golf & Country Club. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Bishop Pond.
