Birch Lake truly is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Playing golf is lots of fun at Big Sand Lake Golf Course; do pop by Hogala Lake, it's a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Outlet Bay right next door to Birch Lake is always a great idea. During the warmest time of the year here at Birch Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's.       When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Birch Lake temperatures descend to the 0's. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Birch Lake; Anvil Lake Trail System is a great local trail, and a beautiful lake like Eleanore Lake is a tremendous spot to explore. Camping at Borderline RV Park and Campground is always a pleasant experience; glide down                  the rapids of Ontonagon River - Middle Branch in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Lac Vieux Desert Campground is a good site to do that, and if you need a location to stay Settle Inn & Stes Eagle River is a good choice. An average amount of precipitation falls at Birch Lake; during September this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
