Get soaked paddling on Au Train River; swing by Island Lake it's a perfect place to pop by. High temperatures at Big Twin Lake through the summertime months are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; overnight lows at Big Twin Lake through the wintertime commonly drop into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.       Als Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and there are glorious locations to discover along the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail. A lake close by is Upper Twin Lake; if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Munising is a tremendous choice. This lake is so wonderful. Having a pleasant time at Big Twin Lake is easy. There's so much to do here at Big Twin Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Island Lake Campground is a perfect site for that,                  and dry warm beds await you at AmericInn Munising. From a precipitation point of view Big Twin Lake is a rather normal spot; the month with most of the rain is September, and February is when it's the driest. Big Twin Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Wide Water Campground is a nice local campground, and you can go for a hike on the Haywire Grade ORV Trail.
