This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Island Lake Campground, and swing by Island Lake it's a brilliant site to visit. An average amount of precipitation falls at Big Twin Lake; the wettest month of the year is typically September, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest.       The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Big Twin Lake with nighttime lows in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Big Twin Lake. Have a great hiking adventure along the Valley Spur Ski Trail, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Au Train River. Lakes are such calm sites, why not go to Als Lake next to Big Twin Lake, and if time                  allows, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is a national park worth a visit. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Big Twin Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Wide Water Campground is a splendid location for that, and you'll come across a beautiful lake called Upper Twin Lake. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do close to Big Twin Lake.
