Summer at Big Mosquito Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Highs all through the winter are typically in the 10's with temperatures at Big Mosquito Lake dipping down into the-10's throughout winter nights. Big Mosquito Lake is great enough to spend       more than a day at, Langford Lake Campground and Picnic Area is a great local campground, and after a long day outdoors Black Bear Lodge is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. On a nice day at Big Mosquito Lake you can take a hike along the Alligator Eye Trail, and there's some flowing water close by, Langford Creek is a stream you can visit while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. You'll find a picturesque lake called Little Mosquito Lake near                  Big Mosquito Lake; dry warm beds await you at Rustic Manor Motor Lodge. Any time is a great time at Big Mosquito Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Ontonagon River; if you come at the right time of year, Presque Isle offers some nice whitewater.
