All through the summer months at Benton Lake highs are commonly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Highs all through the winter are ordinarily in the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Benton Lake drop into the 10's. Camping at Big Star Trailer and RV Resort is always a glorious experience, and close by you       hit upon the North Country National Scenic Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. You could also stop by Winnepesaug Lake if you're here at Benton Lake; it's nearby, and on a fine day you can take a hike along the Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail. So much exciting stuff to do here at Benton Lake, too pleasant to be true. A good close by hotel is Holiday Inn BIG RAPIDS. A common amount of rainfall falls here at Benton Lake; August is the wettest month                  with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful.
