Camping at Evergreen Campgrounds is always a tremendous experience, and there's good hiking along the Grass Lake Trail. There are plenty of folks from Metamora here at Beaver Lake. Summertime highs at Beaver Lake usually tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's,

Lake Metamora
| Ok, it's nice however. There are some issues I would like to address. the beach. It's not very clean, you find cigarette butts all over the beach, finding it very unattractive, especially if you have little kids. I would be very pleased if that was an issue taking care of when I return to the beach with my kids. Also perhaps a no smoking on beach could be addressed. Perhaps they could smoke elsewhere. Like in the parking lot. Where kids wouldn't most likely be. Thank you.... |

| Five Lakes in an unincorporated town with only a few buildings left, located in central Lapeer County Mi. You can find it on older road maps but it's no longer listed on recent state road maps. Stop in at Five lakes grocery and talk to the lady there, she can tell you all about the history of this once booming lumber town. The 7,000 +/- acre Lapeer State Game Area is adjacent and offers great hunting, fishing, hiking, canoeing and nature study/photography. 6-7 miles away is the town of Lapeer which is the county seat and with 8,000 people, the largest town in the county.... |
