The snow is splendid at Ski Brule, and there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Anvil Lake Trail System. The amount of rain that falls at Bearpaw Lake is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is commonly August, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. if you've had enough of Bearpaw Lake, Horseshoe Lake is nearby. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Bearpaw Lake, and the overnight is slightly chillier of course, usually in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs
in the 10's; nighttime lows at Bearpaw Lake during the winter generally plunge into the 0's. Paddling on Pine River is so much fun, and Wild Eagle Lodge is a fine place to get some rest. Kentuck Lake Campground is a delightful campground nearby, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Kentuck-Spectacle Lake Trail.
