Why not check out close by Big Pup Creek if you're here at Bear Lake; pleasant       hiking is available along the Holyoke Trail. What would winter be without some skiing at Marquette, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Garlic River. A great spot for whitewater paddling next to Bear Lake is Yellow Dog River, and a stunning lake like Regan Lake is a fine location to visit. Bear Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rain; September is when you get the most rain here,                  and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Brandts Pond is a nice lake right next door to Bear Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Country Village RV Park is a delightful place to camp. For the period of the warm days of summer here at Bear Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's.
