     After a long day outdoors Days Inn Grayling is a perfect place to spend a night or two; Bear Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, River Pond Campground is a splendid local campground. This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. A day on the slopes of Treetops Sylvan is just what you need, and if you came to camp River Park Campgrounds and Pond is a nice spot to do that. You could also have a look at Timber Lake while you're  
   here at Bear Lake; it's nearby, and Woodland Motor Lodge is a magnificent spot to get some rest.
Bear Lake gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. For the duration of the long summer days here at Bear Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are usually
 
               in the 20's; night lows through the wintertime for Bear Lake tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Bear Lake is not the only place close by, Jones Lake is a close by lake; why not head up to Hanson Hills and strap some skis to your feet.

Take a day trip to Mackinaw City, Thunder Bay Underwater Preserve or the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum. In season, go hunting for tasty morel mushrooms.
