    If you are in Kent county it's always a good idea to stop by Baumhoff Lake. If you need a spot to stay Baymont Inn & Suites Grand Rapids North/Walker is a fine choice, and if you're dropping by from Grand Rapids-Wyoming, you won't be the only one. This lake is so wonderful. A nice location to camp here at Baumhoff Lake is Grand Rogue Campgrounds; an afternoon playing golf at Alpine Golf Club is always a joy. The yearly precipitation here at Baumhoff Lake is  
   about average; throughout September this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
Why not camp at Lakeside Camp Park while you're here at Baumhoff Lake, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Hopkins Lake. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are really bountiful here at Baumhoff Lake. This is a great vicinity for people who like lakes. Stevenson Lake is a lake in the vicinity. High temperatures
 
               at Baumhoff Lake during the warm days of summer are in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 20's with temperatures at Baumhoff Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
You can never get enough of the wonderful skiing at Cannonsburg, and AmeriHost Inn Walker-Grand Rapids North is a fine place to get some rest.

Rustic Camping also available on a limited basis. As of April 15, 2009 we have two seasonal electric sites available for rent this season. Rate is $700. 00 for the year. Our camping rates nightly are $12. 00 for non-power sites and $15. 00 for electrical sites. No running water/hand pump. No dump station. Outhouses and porta- potties in the busy summer season.

Excellent smallmouth & largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye fishing on the backwaters to Croton Dam and also north about 5 miles on the backwaters of Hardy Dam. Spring steelhead runs, rainbow & german brown trout, and fall salmon runs down on the river itself below the dam.

We do not offer river services for the Little Muskegon River.

We do offer a car spotting service to take your vehicles down river while you boat, canoe, or kayak the river. We also provide transportation services for individuals and their own equipment for a reasonable fee.
