This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend close by Interlochen Golf Club; what would winter be without some skiing at Crystal Mountain. Bass Lake is not the only site close by, Mud Lake is a close by lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Boardman River offers some pleasant whitewater.       Going for a hike on the McKenzie Ski Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and you can stay the night at Cycle-Moore. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Traverse City; Bass Lake is not far at all from Traverse City. Man, is there a heap of amusing things to do near Bass Lake. A lake nearby is Round Lake. There's so much to do here at Bass Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Turtle Lake Campgrounds is a glorious place for that. An average                  amount of precipitation falls at Bass Lake; September is when you get the most rain here; February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There are perfect spots to discover along the Caberfae Way Snowmobile Trail, and Crystal Mountain Resort and Spa is a perfect place to get some rest. Throughout the warm months highs here at Bass Lake get into the 80's, and the night is slightly cooler of course, regularly in the 50's.
