Island Lake is a lovely stream that is worth stopping at, and close by you find the Valley Spur Ski Trail which is a nice hiking trail. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Munising Wetmore Area, and if you've had enough of Bar Lake, Scout Lake is close by. You could also       check out Council Lake if you're here at Bar Lake; it's nearby, and soar down the rapids of Au Train River in a kayak. This place, Bar Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors fun stuff. Wide Water Campground is a great campground nearby, and there are perfect spots to look at along the Haywire Grade ORV Trail. The annual rain here at Bar Lake is about average; all through September this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.                  This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay AmericInn Munising is a brilliant choice, and going for a hike on the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail is always a nice adventure. Summertime highs at Bar Lake usually tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 20's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Bar Lake plunge into the 0's.
