Banana Lake is not the only place close by, Bear Lake is a close by lake; hiking along the Haywire Grade ORV Trail is good fun. Summertime highs at Banana Lake frequently tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The winter brings highs       down to the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Banana Lake. Getting to Bear Creek from Banana Lake is easy, and Indian Lake Travel Resort is a glorious local campground. This lake is so wonderful.
