Caberfae Peaks is a very popular ski area close at hand, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Tustin Trails Golf Course is in the neighborhood. There's so much to do here at Bammer Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Tustin Koa Kampground is a delightful place for that, and while you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Cadillac.

 | We had picked the pine river to canoe in the summer of 2004 and were told a good rustic campground would be a good choice. As it turned out it was by far the best camp site I had ever stayed in and had a great time. Our site happened to be next to the river with a great view, secluded and close to the river. I would highly recommend this campground for access to the pine river. Great canoeing, kayaking, fishing, etc. swimming... |

Pine River

Actually, the best paddling on the Pine River is below Lincoln, and especially in the section from Dobson Bridge to Low Bridge (approximately 21 miles). there are numerous CI rapids from about 20 minutes US from Dobson to about 20 minutes US from Low Bridge. Unfortunately, due to livery traffic the river is kept cleared to excess. Most of the leaning trees and logjams that make padding interesting have been removed so the drunken rental boat paddlers don't get into trouble.... |
