A visit to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is worthwhile;       you can go for a hike on the Valley Spur Ski Trail. A typical amount of rain falls here at Baldy Lake; September is the wettest month with most rain while February is usually the driest month. Some nearby water includes Squaw Creek, and why not camp at Wide Water Campground if you're here at Baldy Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Island Lake Campground is a good place to camp, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Au Train River. This lake is so wonderful. For the period of the days of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Baldy Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
