If time allows, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is a national park worth taking a look at; you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Big Island Lake       Portage Canoe Trail. Back Lake is a good place of typical precipitation; throughout the month of September you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is February. If you came for an overnight stay Hiawatha Resort and Campground is a great site to camp; AmericInn Munising is a nice location to get some rest. High temperatures at Back Lake during the summer months are in the 70's, and the nighttime is slightly cooler of course, frequently                  in the 50's.
