This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not pop by Joel Pond near Au Train Lake, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Au Train River. Now, you may feel that's lots but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Au Train Lake. Camping is available at Wandering wheels Campground, and striking scenery and glorious skiing is what you get at Gladstone Ski Park. This lake is so wonderful.       Camping at Au Train Lake Campground is always a magnificent experience, and going for a hike on the Addis Lakes Ski Trail is always a great adventure. The warmest time of the year at Au Train Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while Au Train Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. After a long day outdoors Munising - Days Inn                  is a magnificent location to spend a night or two, and you can go for a hike on the Chatham Ski Trail. Not far from Au Train Lake you find Buck Bay, and there are other sites here than Au Train Lake, for example Paulson Lake. A brilliant nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Munising/Wetmore Area; don't leave Au Train Lake without first going for a hike along the Valley Spur Ski Trail.
