Beautiful Asplund Lake has much to offer visitors. This lake is so wonderful. Dyer Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Hay Lake. Wedgewood Golf Club is a great golf course nearby, and Rodeway Inn Cadillac is a good spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Pine River is so much fun, and hiking along the Lincoln Mills Snowmobile

| Actually, the best paddling on the Pine River is below Lincoln, and especially in the section from Dobson Bridge to Low Bridge (approximately 21 miles). there are numerous CI rapids from about 20 minutes US from Dobson to about 20 minutes US from Low Bridge. Unfortunately, due to livery traffic the river is kept cleared to excess. Most of the leaning trees and logjams that make padding interesting have been removed so the drunken rental boat paddlers don't get into trouble.... |

As it turned out it was by far the best camp site I had ever stayed in and had a great time. Our site happened to be next to the river with a great view, secluded and close to the river. I would highly recommend this campground for access to the pine river. Great canoeing, kayaking, fishing, etc. swimming... |
