There's some flowing water nearby, Holden Drain is a stream you can stop by while you're here; why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Highland Hills Golf Club. Alward Lake gets a common amount of yearly rainfall; during the month of September you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if       it's for you then we recommend Red Cedar River, and a delightful location to camp here at Alward Lake is Lansing Cottonwood Campground. For the period of the warm days of summer at Alward Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 20's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Alward Lake plunge into the 10's.
