While you're here at Altman Lake you can take a hike along the Caberfae Way Snowmobile Trail, and you'll probably meet some folks from Cadillac here. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Cadillac Sands Resort is a pleasant place to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Altman Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Peterson Bridge S Campground is a delightful       location for that. Altman Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Birchwood Resort and Campgrounds is a delightful local campground; there are some fine whitewater spots on Boardman River. If the weather is good here at Altman Lake, you can go for a hike along the McKenzie Ski Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Pine River offers some pleasant whitewater. On a magnificent day at Altman Lake you can take a hike along the Lincoln                  Mills Snowmobile Trail. During the summer at Altman Lake highs are mostly in the 80's, and the overnight is a tad chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and night lows all through the winter for Altman Lake tend to be in the 10's.
