There's fine hiking along the Lincoln Mills Snowmobile Trail. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Altman Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Altman Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Caberfae Peaks is fine, and Woodward Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by.       Go for a hike on the Caberfae Way Snowmobile Trail, and camping at Peterson Bridge S Campground is always a pleasant experience. After a long day outdoors Cadillac Sands Resort is a great location to spend a night or two; there are some glorious whitewater spots on Boardman River. You definitely should fancy Altman Lake. A great place to camp here at Altman Lake is Birchwood Resort and Campgrounds; do explore Meauwataka Lake, it's a pretty lake. The yearly                  rain here at Altman Lake is about average; September is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is February. If you're stopping by Altman Lake from Cadillac, you won't be the only one, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Pine River.
