If you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn Munising is a great choice; lakes are such serene places, why not pop by Big Twin Lake. If you came to camp Wide Water Campground is a pleasant spot to do that; while you're here, you could stop by Island       Lake. There's so much to do here at Als Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Island Lake Campground is a splendid location for that, and the Valley Spur Ski Trail is a glorious hiking trail nearby. For the period of the summertime months at Als Lake temperatures are mostly in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter                  temperatures at Als Lake sink into the 0's. From a rainfall point of view Als Lake is a relatively common place; the month with most of the rain is September; February on the other hand is the driest. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff to do are in fact plentiful here at Als Lake. Going for a hike on the Haywire Grade ORV Trail is always a good adventure, and you'll hit upon a scenic lake called Upper Twin Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Near Als Lake you locate the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail, and get drenched paddling on Au Train River.
