You'll hit upon a beautiful lake called Bailey Lake near Allen Lake, and Allen Lake is right by the Woods Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. If you need a site to stay Ramada Inn and Convention Center is a perfect choice; why not take a refreshing hike along the Indian Trail. Camping is available       at Scottville Riverside Park, and do take a hike on the North Country National Scenic Trail. The annual precipitation here at Allen Lake is about average; through September this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A nice nearby hotel is Best Western Splash Park Inn; swing by Hatting Creek it's a splendid location to check out. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Allen Lake. Once the sun is down it descends                  down to the 50's.
