I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at Allen Lake. There's so much to do here at Allen Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Wheel Inn Campground is a tremendous place for that. Through the days of summer at Allen Lake highs are generally in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge       down into the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 20's; overnight lows at Allen Lake all through the wintertime typically sink into the 10's. Pleasant Lake Drain is a good local stream, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Red Cedar River.
