Hiking is a popular thing to do around Allen Lake; Anvil Lake Trail System is a nice local trail. Allen Lake is a good location of common precipitation; September is the wettest month with most rain while February is generally the driest month. A nice close by hotel is       Wild Eagle Lodge; Lac Vieux Desert Golf Course is a golf course close by. A lake close by is Beaver Station Lake; some of the water nearby flows, like Forty Five Creek. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Allen Lake. Ontonagon River - Middle Branch is a delightful whitewater spot near Allen Lake, and there's wonderful hiking along the Kentuck-Spectacle Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Kvidera Lake is a nearby                  lake that you could stop by. There's so much to do here at Allen Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lac Vieux Desert Campground is a pleasant site for that. At Allen Lake during the summer months highs are in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's.
