And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do near Ackerman Lake. Ackerman Lake is right by the Chatham Ski Trail, and after a long day outdoors Days Inn Munising is a great place to spend a night or two. Take a hike on the Valley Spur Ski Trail, and if you came to camp Hovey Lake Campground is a glorious place       to do that. The Addis Lakes Ski Trail offers hiking at its best, and Super 8 Motel - Munising Wetmore Area is a tremendous place to get some rest. A beautiful lake like Joe Lake close to Ackerman Lake is a good spot to stop by; if you come at the right time of year, Au Train River offers some delightful whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is a national park worth a visit. There's so much to do here at                  Ackerman Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Au Train Lake Campground is a glorious site for that. The annual rain here at Ackerman Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is typically September, that's the one that rains the most; February meanwhile is the driest month. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Ackerman Lake while overnight lows are mostly in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Ackerman Lake fall into the 0's.
