This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Horseshoe Lake Cycle Trail, and there are other spots here than Acker Lake, for example Martin Lake. From a rain point of view Acker Lake is a relatively common location; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Hiking is a popular       thing to do around Acker Lake; Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail is a good local trail, and Knowles Lake is a magnificent lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. At Acker Lake you always meet someone from Muskegon-Norton Shores, and a wonderful close by hotel is Double JJ Log Homes. For the period of the summer months at Acker Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. All through the wintertime highs                  are usually in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Acker Lake. If only every place had this much outdoors fun things, what a great world it would be. Hesperia Campground is a delightful campground nearby, and why not go to a swamp like Cushman Swamp since you're here at Acker Lake.
