Go to Youngs Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Youngs Lake get into the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are frequently in the 10's, and night lows in the-10's for Youngs Lake. | | is a magnificent place to camp nearby. There's good hiking along the Sweets Trail, and a lake close by is Water District Reservoir.
If you like skiing, you're in luck; Bigrock is right next door to Youngs Lake; you can stay the night at Arndt's Aroostook River Lodge and Campground. This lake is so wonderful. spot to spend a night or two; hiking is a popular thing to do around Youngs Lake; Pierce Tote Road is a good local trail.
Youngs Lake gets a common amount of yearly precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here while
February is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Aker Brook is a picturesque stream that is worth taking a look at, and not far from Youngs Lake you acquire some good water scenery at Youngs Lake Dam. You'll wish for
more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things at Youngs Lake. Youngs Lake is not the only location nearby, Westfield Lake is a nearby lake, and there are some good whitewater spots on Aroostook River.
