A nice swamp near York Ponds is Gilmore Meadows; get yourself into a kayak and hit Marsh Stream. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! York Ponds is great! You can never get enough of the wonderful skiing at New Hermon Mountain, and if you need a spot to stay Seascape Motel & Cottages is a tremendous choice. York Ponds is a good place of typical rain; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest month of the year       is February. One of the dominant features of the surroundings of York Ponds is Chicks Hill. You'll need more than a day to explore everything York Ponds has to offer, you can camp at Shady Acres RV and Campgrounds. Summer brings highs in the 70's to York Ponds, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are generally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to York Ponds. A glorious nearby hotel                  is Belfast Harbor Inn; of course Jordan Brook flows through this region. This lake is so wonderful. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Streamside Golf Course.
