If you are in Hancock county it's always a good idea to stop by Lake Wood. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Sea Breeze Motel is a great choice; hiking along the North Ridge Trail is good fun. Take a look at close by The Heath; dry warm beds await you at Highbrook Motel. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Wood a wet location; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain; August meanwhile is the driest month.

to camp here for a while, Camp Store is a pleasant location for that, and do take a hike on the Conners Nubble Trail. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. A quick journey to Breakneck Brook right next door
to Lake Wood is a splendid idea, and why not stop at Hamilton Pond Dam while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Acadia National Park is a splendid local destination here at Lake Wood; get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater
of Branch Lake Stream. If you want to hit the beach, Marlboro Beach is around here, and The Ovens is also a glorious site to look at. For the duration of the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Lake Wood while overnight
lows are regularly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Lake Wood. Canoe Point is close at hand and always good to have a look at, and a trip to Lamoine Beach is always
a tremendous idea. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Wood is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Mt Desert Campground is a splendid local campground; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Union River.
