    Lake Wood is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side journey to Breakneck Brook, and if you need a spot to stay Sea Breeze Motel is a wonderful choice. If you're looking for a beach near Lake Wood, we recommend Lamoine Beach, and nearby you'll find a wooded neighborhood called Eno Pines. Marlboro Beach is a beach in the neighborhood of Lake Wood that you can explore, and good hiking is available along the North Ridge Trail.
This lake
 
   is so wonderful. Get dripping wet paddling on Branch Lake Stream. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do close to Lake Wood. There are perfect spots to look at along the McFarland Hill Trail; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Bar Harbor Golf Course is in the vicinity. And if you're still looking for more outdoors cool stuff just keep reading. There's so much to do here at Lake Wood that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Store  
               is a pleasant location for that, and Canoe Point is nearby and always nice to take a look at.
Swamps don’t sound that splendid but The Heath near Lake Wood is reasonably splendid; close by you stumble on perfect places like The Ovens. A fine close by hotel is Best Western Inn, and Hamilton Pond Dam is not far at all from Lake Wood. If you came to camp Mt Desert Campground is a good place to do that, and paddling on Union River is so much fun.
For the period of the days of summer at Lake Wood highs are usually in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake Wood temperatures fall to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Conners Nubble Trail, and do pay a visit to Acadia National Park if you're here at Lake Wood. Lake Wood regularly gets a lot of rain; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is August.
You could also take a look at Aunt Betty Pond while you're here at Lake Wood; it's close by; on a pretty day you get a splendid panorama of Brewer Mountain from Lake Wood.
