Witham Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is so wonderful. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Sandy River - South Branch, and if you come at the right time of year, Sandy River offers some delightful whitewater. The amount of rain that falls at Witham Pond is close to the national average; through August this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. | | to stay The Perennial Inn is a great choice, and the skiing at Saddleback is tremendous. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Piazza Rock Trail, and Black Mountain is a good local ski area. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool stuff the White Mountains has to offer. Cabins and Campground. If only every location had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great globe it would be. You could also visit Little Swift River Pond if you're here at Witham Pond; it's close by, and why not take a refreshing
hike along the Brook Trail. Witham Pond is a good place to visit for more than one day, Black Brook Cove Campground is a good place to camp nearby, and the peak of Blue Mountains can be spotted from Witham Pond. For the period
of the warm months at Witham Pond highs are commonly in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Witham Pond. Witham Pond is located in the White Mountains.

 | Today I finished a kayak trip from Strong, Maine and took out at Osoola Park in Norridgewock. It took a day and three quarters. The bridge in New Sharon is by far the largest waves just under the bridge. Tired arms went through that at the near end of day. The water after that is fast for about an hour after that. Need to pay attention.... |
