There's fine hiking along the Brook Trail, and Crocker Mountain Cirque Campground is a magnificent local campground. Don't leave Winslow Pond without first going for a hike along the Piazza Rock Trail; a glorious sight of lovely Beech Hill is available. During the long summer days at Winslow Pond highs are ordinarily in the 70's, and the nighttime is fairly cooler of course, usually       in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for Winslow Pond tend to be in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Get covered with water paddling on Sandy River - South Branch, and why not stop at nearby Saddleback Stream while you're here at Winslow Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Sandy River; hiking is a popular thing to do around Winslow Pond; Chimney                  Trail is a great local trail. You can never get enough of the good skiing at Saddleback; a tremendous nearby hotel is Wilson Lake Inn. A common amount of rain falls here at Winslow Pond; all through August this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is February.
