Very scenic scenery and nice skiing is what you get at Saddleback, and there is a glorious hiking trail nearby called the Arnold Trail. Having a pleasant time at Wing Pond is trouble-free. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Wing Pond has to offer, you can camp at Cathedral Pines Camping Area, and hey, Hay Bog Brook is a great local stream. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone       but if it's for you then we recommend Moose River - South Branch; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Arnold Pond Trail. At Wing Pond throughout the summer months highs are in the 70's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Wing Pond. There's whitewater on Cupsuptic River for all you adrenaline junkies, and on a brilliant                  day you can take a hike along the Morrell Trail. There's so much to do here at Wing Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Black Arrow Lodge is a great place for that, and at Wing Pond you can catch a glimpse of Caswell Mountain. The yearly rainfall here at Wing Pond is about average; most of the rain falls through July, and the driest month is February.   The Perennial Inn, Rumford 48 miles away The ambiance projects a genuine feeling of country hospitality.
