Wing Pond is a great site to visit for more than one day, Black Arrow Lodge is a great site to camp nearby, as expected you could also check out Sipun Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. Throughout the long summer days at Wing Pond temperatures are usually in the 70's while night lows are typically in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Wing Pond. Cathedral Pines Camping Area is a great campground

| | nearby, and a lake nearby is Elaine Pond. So many exciting things to do at Wing Pond, so little time. Cupsuptic River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and close by you discover the Morrell Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. a great hiking trail nearby called the Arnold Pond Trail. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Moose River - South Branch; why not pop by close by Hay Bog Brook since you're
here at Wing Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Saddleback, and going for a hike on the Arnold Trail is always a splendid adventure. This lake is so wonderful.

 | 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
