    Many people like to go to Wight Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Fort Knox Inn is a glorious place to get some rest, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Blue Hill Trail. Near Wight Pond you find the Bald Mountain Trail which is a perfect hiking trail, and perhaps you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Parker Pond is just a very short distance away. Through the summertime, highs regularly are in the 70's at Wight Pond. For the period  
   of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Wight Pond tend to be in the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. Narramissic River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by, and after a long day outdoors Eggemoggin Oceanfront Lodge is a great location to spend a night or two. The yearly rain here at Wight Pond is about average; the month of November
 
               is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest.
A tremendous vista of beautiful Chandler Parker Mountain is available from Wight Pond; needless to say McCaslin Stream is a striking stream that is worth a visit. Going for a hike on the Old Cove Trail is always a magnificent adventure. There's so much to do here at Wight Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Balsam Cove Campground is a good location for that. Wight Pond is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Whispering Pines Campground is a brilliant local campground, and you must certainly stop at The Bluffs while you're here.
This place, Wight Pond, it truly has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Swamps can be such exciting places, take a look at Camp Stream Bog since you're here at Wight Pond, and whitewater paddling is pleasant on Blue Hill Falls.
