Arndt's Aroostook River Lodge and Campground is a tremendous campground nearby, and Salmon Brook has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Crown Park Inn is a great location to get some rest; you can have a good hiking adventure along the Sweets Trail. Now, you may assume that's       a heap but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Whitney Brook. Take a little spree to Burnt Land Brook while you're here at Whitney Brook; Neil E Michaud Campground is a glorious local campground. Going for a hike along the Old Dam Tote Road will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and if you're here, you could also take a look at scenic Burntland Stream. This lake is so wonderful. Do take a look at East Branch Presque Isle Stream                  Reservoir near Whitney Brook, it's a wonderful lake, and paddling on St. Croix Stream is so much fun. From a rainfall point of view Whitney Brook is a reasonably common location; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month is February. If the weather is good here at Whitney Brook, you can go for a hike along the Pierce Tote Road; Bigrock is a very popular ski area around here. At Whitney Brook during the long summer days highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's.
