Americas Best Value Heritage Motor Inn is a fine place to get some rest, and if you came for an overnight stay Shin Pond Village Campground is a good place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Shin Brook River is a perfect whitewater spot in close proximity to White Horse Lake, and if you're       here you can take a hike along the Jerry Pond Tote Road. Any time is a good time at White Horse Lake if you like the outdoors. A quick spree to Batch Brook near White Horse Lake is a pleasant idea, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Matagamon Tote Road. Umcolcus Sporting Camps is a tremendous local campground; if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Seboeis River. All through the summer at White Horse Lake                  highs are frequently in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. Highs through the winter are mostly in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at White Horse Lake temperatures fall to the-10's. Going for a hike along the Snowshoe Lake Road will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and if you get bored of White Horse Lake you could also check out close by Seboeis Deadwater. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at White Horse Lake; July is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
