This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Intake Trail, and there's whitewater on Kingsbury Stream for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Yeah, come here to Whetstone Pond for a delightful time. Whetstone Pond is tremendous enough to spend more than a day       at, Balsam woods Campground is a tremendous local campground, and at Whetstone Pond you can observe Little Russell Mountain. Looking for something in the neighborhood of Whetstone Pond? Punchbowl Pond is close at hand, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Piscataquis River. You're almost certainly keen on lakes, Piper Pond is one of those nearby; camping at Wildwood Shores Campground is always a tremendous experience.                  Don't forget to take a magnificent little visit to Bennett Brook, and if you need a place to stay Bingham Motor Inn is a nice choice. All the water falling down from the sky makes Whetstone Pond a wet spot; during the month of July you get the most rain around here while February is frequently the driest month. Summertime highs at Whetstone Pond commonly tend to be in the 70's; the nighttime is a bit chillier of course, usually in the 50's.
