Do stop by Western Lake while you're in this part of Maine. Not far from Western Lake you get some great water scenery at Mill Dam. There's so much to do here at Western Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Cobscook Bay State Park is a delightful location for that. Western Lake is a quite wet place regularly with lots of rain; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is July. Get your heart beating on

| | the tremendous whitewater of Orange River; Deep Cove is pretty close. Looking for some flowing water? Try Cranberry Brook, and you can run the rapids of Hobart Stream. This lake is so wonderful. From Western Lake you obtain a good vista of Estey Mountain. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Western Lake has to offer, you can camp at Knowlton's Seashore Campground. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a delightful time here at Western Lake. | |

A journey to Roosevelt Campobello International Park is recommended. Summertime at Western Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Western Lake.
