Whitewater paddling is glorious on Nicatous Stream, and going for a hike on the Eagle Lake Trail is always a great adventure. This lake is so wonderful. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff near West Lake will keep you coming back over and over. Camping at Cold Spring Campground is always a nice experience, and West Lake is not the only place nearby, Abarngamook       Lake is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. You could also pop by Nicatous Lake since you're here at West Lake; it's close by, and you don’t have to go far from West Lake to make out the water at Nicatous Lake Dam. West Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Maple Grove Campground is a brilliant local campground, and paddling on Passadumkeag River is so much fun. After a long day outdoors White Birches Country Club is a magnificent                  site to spend a night or two; let's not forget Porter Brook which is a stream that you may stumble upon during your stay. West Lake is a relatively wet place commonly with a large amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily November, that's the one that rains the most; February on the other hand is the driest. For the duration of the warm days of summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at West Lake. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's.
