Presque Isle Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit. Bigrock is a very popular ski area close by, and on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Kennedy Tote Road. A pleasant place for whitewater paddling near West Lake is St. Croix Stream. You'll need more than a day to look at everything       West Lake has to offer, you can camp at Bear Mountain Lodge. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! West Lake is so good! Near West Lake you stumble on the Sweets Trail which is a good hiking trail, and if you get bored of West Lake you could also check out nearby Little Fowler Pond. At West Lake during the summer highs are in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while West                  Lake overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the-10's. West Lake gets a typical amount of annual rainfall; July is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.
