If you are traveling by, why not stop by West Branch Pleasant River Reservoir. Get drenched paddling on Pleasant River, and Sandy River Beach is rather nearby if you're in a beach type of mood. Whitewater paddling is good on Machias River. West Branch Pleasant River Reservoir is next to West Branch Pleasant River Dam which is a lovely place positively worth taking a look at, and a lake nearby is The Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of West Branch Pleasant River Reservoir, you could also go to nearby Snare Creek, and do schedule some time to pop by Grays Cove if you have a chance. The peak of Hall Hill can be made out from West Branch Pleasant River Reservoir, and West Branch Pleasant River Reservoir is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Sunkhaze Campground is a wonderful local campground.
