All through the summertime months at Welchs Pond highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while Welchs Pond night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful location for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Welchs Pond is Atlantic Ocean, and Indian       Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Ledges Golf Club, and camping is available at Flagg's Trailer Park. All the outdoors amusing stuff in the vicinity of Welchs Pond will keep you coming back time and again. You can run the rapids of Great Works River near Welchs Pond; nothing beats kicking back at Long Beach. There's always Folly Pond Dam to explore in close proximity to Welchs Pond, and                  after a long day outdoors Stage Neck Inn, Incorporated is a great place to spend a night or two. A tremendous location to camp here at Welchs Pond is York Beach Camper Park, and there are plenty of folks from Portland-South Portland here. Swamps like Bell Marsh are fun to stop by; a fine nearby hotel is Best Western York Inn. All the water falling down from the sky makes Welchs Pond a wet site; throughout November this area sees the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
