After a long day outdoors Katahdin Inn is a perfect spot to spend a night or two, and since you're here, you could also stop by stunning Draper Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Little Wassataquoik Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. Get wet paddling on Nesowadnehunk Stream River, and going                  for a hike on the Howe is always a perfect adventure. The amount of rain that falls at Wassataquoik Lake is close to the national average; through the month of July you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There is a good hiking trail in the vicinity of Wassataquoik Lake called the Old Pogy Road, and a cool spot to take a look at is Snub Pitch.
