     Good hiking is available along the Howe, and Wassataquoik Lake is not the only place close by, Draper Pond is a close by lake. Summer at Wassataquoik Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Wassataquoik Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Wassataquoik Lake that  
   you need to camp here for a while, Chimney Pond Campground is a nice spot for that, and there's whitewater on Nesowadnehunk Stream River for all you adrenaline kick people. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something close to Wassataquoik Lake? Little Wassataquoik Lake is close by.
North Pogy Mountain can be distinguished from Wassataquoik Lake, and don't leave Wassataquoik Lake without first going for a hike along the Old Pogy Road. There's perfect
 
               hiking along the Northwest Basin Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Wassataquoik Lake has to offer, you can camp at South Branch Pond Campground.
