This lake is so wonderful. Washington Pond is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Sennebec Lake Campground is a tremendous place to camp nearby, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on St. George River. Washington Pond gets a typical amount of yearly rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly       November, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. If you come at the right time of year, Sheepscot River offers some fine whitewater; going for a hike on the Hockomock Nature Trail is always a good adventure. This lake is so wonderful. For the duration of the warm days of summer here at Washington Pond, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's, and the overnight is somewhat chillier of course, generally in the                  50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Washington Pond are in the 0's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. There are delightful places to look at along the Ragged Mountain Trail, and a magnificent close by hotel is The Country Inn Camden-Rckprt. Camden is a fine local ski area, and Washington Pond Dam is a beautiful site, without doubt worth taking a look at.
