Pine Ridge Campgrounds is a delightful campground nearby, and if you get bored of Washington Pond you could also check out nearby Crystal Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Washington Pond is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Sennebec Lake Campground is a tremendous place to camp nearby, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on St. George River. If you come at the right time of year, Sheepscot River offers some fine whitewater; going for a hike on the Hockomock Nature Trail is always a good adventure. This lake is so wonderful. 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Washington Pond are in the 0's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. There are delightful places to look at along the Ragged Mountain Trail, and
a magnificent close by hotel is The Country Inn Camden-Rckprt. Camden is a fine local ski area, and Washington Pond Dam is a beautiful site, without doubt worth taking a look at. Island View Inn is a pleasant site to get some rest, and a lake close by is Muddy Pond.

 | 12 miles away i have been coming to duck puddle camp ground with my family since I was about 4, I remember I had broke my elbow on my 5th b day party there from falling off a slide. but it was the best camp ground and I will always continue to go camping there for as long as I can. choose duck puddle it is the best and here I am now almost 23 years old.
