Why not visit a swamp like Pickpole Swamp while you're here at Wards Pond, and the scenery at North Limington Dam is pretty. Lakes are pleasant;       Horne Pond is a lake that's in the vicinity of Wards Pond, and if you need a site to stay Pleasant Mountain Inn is a pleasant choice. Be careful coming to Wards Pond, you might not ever want to go back home again. Sebago Lake Family Campground is a wonderful campground nearby; hey, Black Brook is a tremendous local stream. All the water falling down from the sky makes Wards Pond a wet site; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most                  rain, and the driest month of the year is September. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Shawnee Peak, and there's whitewater on Saco River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Wards Pond. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Wards Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
