There are some fine whitewater spots on Ossipee River. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something near Wards Pond? Haley Pond is in close proximity; camping is available at Fiddlehead Campground. Through the warm months at Wards Pond highs are generally in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's, and night lows through the winter for Wards       Pond tend to be in the 0's. You could also take a look at Round Pond if you're here at Wards Pond; it's nearby; some of the water nearby flows, like Weeks Brook. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The White Mountains rocks! The view of gorgeous Bald Peak near Wards Pond is delightful, and Oxford House Inn is a wonderful place to get some rest. Any time is a great time at Wards Pond if you like the outdoors. Cranmore Mountain is a very popular ski area                  nearby, and Wards Pond is right by the Kearsarge Trail. A glorious place to camp here at Wards Pond is Zen Farm RV Resort, and Fryeburg Dam has great water scenery. Now, you may assume that's loads but there's even more exciting things to do here in the White Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at White Mountain Hotel and Resort, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Weeks Brook Trail. Wards Pond is located in the White Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at King Pine in the neighborhood, and if you come at the right time of year, Ossipee River offers some great whitewater. The high level of rainfall makes Wards Pond a relatively wet place; most of the rain falls during November while September is typically the driest month.
