    Do stop by Walker Pond while you're in this part of Maine. The top of Caterpillar Mountain is easily seen from Walker Pond, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Sawyer Notch Trail. Paddling on Goose Falls is so much fun; Sunshine Campground is a great campground nearby. You simply have to explore Gull Ledges while you're here at Walker Pond; since you're here, you could stop by Billings Brook.
Snow Cove is relatively near Walker Pond, and drift down the
 
   rapids of Blue Hill Falls in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Walker Pond; Old Cove Trail is a perfect local trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Robin Hood Camp is a tremendous place to camp. The warmest time of the year at Walker Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and night lows  
               through the winter for Walker Pond tend to be in the 0's.
The amount of rainfall that falls at Walker Pond is close to the national average; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There's splendid hiking along the Blue Hill Trail, and Best Western Fort Knox Inn is a perfect spot to get some rest. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff next to Walker Pond.
Parker Pond is a perfect lake close to Walker Pond, and Walker Pond Dam is not far at all from Walker Pond. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. A glorious swamp close to Walker Pond is Jerrys Meadow, and if you need a place to stay Eggemoggin Oceanfront Lodge is a tremendous choice.
