to camp here for a while, Black Arrow Lodge is a pleasant location for that. This lake is so wonderful. Chase Pond Mountain is beautiful and can be made out from Viles Pond.
A short tour to Shadagee Falls is always worthwhile;
the skiing at Saddleback is good. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Viles Pond has to offer, you can camp at Cathedral Pines Camping Area; everyone close by loves skiing at Sugarloaf USA. Be careful coming to Viles
Pond, you might not ever want to return home again. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cupsuptic River, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Arnold Pond Trail.
