Lower Togue Pond is a lake close by, and you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Abol Trail. From a precipitation point of view Upper Togue Pond is a       reasonably typical place; the wettest month of the year is generally July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. If you come at the right time of year, Nesowadnehunk Stream offers some pleasant whitewater, and hiking along the Dudley Trail is magnificent fun. Camping is available at Chimney Pond Campground, and most likely you're looking for close by lakes? Through the winter highs are in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Upper Togue Pond temperatures plunge to the-10's.
